Guangzhou Renmin Chemical Factory is a middle state owned chemical enterprise, which manufactures inorganic silicon products, with longest history, biggest scale and most varieties in south China area.
The factory was found in the middle of 1950s. In 1958, using own produced sodium silica as a raw material, it successfully manufactured White Carbon products which named "5801 Precipitated White Carbon". This was the pioneering product in the country. In 1970, it manufactured medical silica product, which is widely used in pharmaceutical industry, this was also a creation in the country. In 1984, it merged Cuangzhou Chromic Salt Factory and Guangzhou Yongxing Chemical Factory and expended its production scale and operation category.
